Supreme Court affirms death penalty for robbery/burglary-murder

The Supreme Court today affirms the death sentence in People v. Spencer.  The court’s unanimous opinion by Justice Mariano-Florentino Cuéllar rejects numerous claims of prejudicial error, including the wrongful dismissal of a prospective juror, the lack of probable cause to arrest the defendant, and a Miranda violation.
