Single Vehicle Crash Near Horshoe Bend, minor injury

Stratford, Meridian 83642 (208) 846-7550 Fax (208) 846-7520 For Immediate Release: February 21, 2011 5:55 pm Contact: Cpl Smith On Monday February 21, 2011, around 12:00pm, Idaho State Police investigated a single vehicle crash east of Horshoe Bend. Timothy McCall, 51 years old of Emmett, Idaho, was traveling westbound on Harris Creek Road approximately 2 miles east of Shafer Creek Road when the 1990 Peterbilt log truck failed to negotiate the curve. The truck and trailer both overturned, spilling logs and blocking the roadway for several hours. McCall was transported by ground ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise with non-life threatening injuries. McCall was not wearing his seatbelt. Icy road conditions may have contributed to the crash. The logs have been cleared and the road is back open. The crash is still under investigation by Cpl. Smith with assistance at the scene by Cpl. Eller, and Horshoebend fire and medical personnel. ————-
