What You Need to Know About GDPR GDPR, the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation, seeks to protect the privacy rights of EU consumers.  The Regulation dictates how corporations, institutions and governments must secure and process personal data within their control.  It becomes effective on May 25, 2018.
