New Florida Durable Power of Attorney Law Effective Oct. 1, 2011

Let me start off by assuring Florida residents who have a currently valid Durable Power of Attorney signed before October 1: Your Power of Attorney will be valid even after Oct. 1. You do not need to do anything, You do not need to change your current document. Your Power of Attorney will continue to be honored after October 1. However, new rules apply to any Florida Durable Power of Attorney
