NAIC Holds International Insurance Forum in Washington

This week the NAIC held its annual International Insurance Forum in Washington, D.C. The event featured speakers from around the globe and included industry leaders, regulators, academics, trade group leaders and consumer advocates. Panels covered a wide range of topics, including the role of insurance and reinsurance in disaster risk management, digital disruption and InsurTech, enhancing systemic risk regulation through macroprudential policy tools, and a C-suite panel that included the CEO’s of Lloyd’s, John Hancock and Ameritas. Other featured speakers included Her Majesty’s Trade Commissioner for North America’s Antony Phillipson and a “fireside chat” between NAIC CEO Mike Consedine and Secretary General of the IAIS Jonathan Dixon.
