In E-Discovery Deal, OpenText Acquires Catalyst for $75 Million

OpenText, a Canadian company that specializes in enterprise information management, has acquired Denver-based e-discovery company Catalyst Repository Systems, a provider of e-discovery technology for corporate legal departments and top law firms. The purchase price of the acquisition is approximately $75 million in an all-cash transaction, according to a statement by the company. Catalyst will be integrated into OpenText’s discovery products, the statement said. “The joint strength of OpenText and Catalyst confirms our position as a leading provider of e-discovery technology and combines a powerful set of solutions to help corporate legal departments and law firms seize the opportunities of automation, digital transformation, AI and machine learning,” Mark J.
