Don't Drive in a Hurricane

As of 4pm today, Hurricane Irene had already caused 152 vehicle crashes on Virginia's roadways. And those are just the ones handled by the Virginia State Police. The Fredericksburg area is in Division II, which had 17 of those 152 crashes. I'm sure there are many more by now and other incidents that were handled by the local Sheriff's Offices. The sad part about these crashes is that many of the drivers were probably charged with reckless driving. Even if a single vehicle just goes off the road, the driver may get a reckless driving ticket. Here's the moral of the story: don't drive in a hurricane.
