Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Issues Supervision Manual 1.0

We represent a number of financial service providers, so it is important to understand the laws that govern them. However, it is also important to understand how their regulators view the law as well. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau just released its supervision manual which is a very useful tool to help guide the creation and delivery of financial services online: Federal government regulators usually have manuals for their examiners. Our manual provides our examiners with direction on how to determine if providers of consumer financial services are complying with consumer protection laws – and how to determine if the providers have adequate policies and procedures in place to comply with those laws.
