Accounting Profession Continues Surge Into Legal Arena

Maybe the accounting profession is serious about taking over the legal profession. Beware the bean-counters, they are storming the gates: “The big U.K. accounting firms are continuing their aggressive push into legal services, with Ernst & Young LLP buying an existing law firm with the goal of increasing its presence in technology-led services. EY agreed to buy northwest England-based Riverview Law, a technology-focused law firm employing 100 people. When the deal closes at the end of August, the firm will be renamed EY Riverview Law.
