$160 Million Class Action Settlement With Horizon Blue Cross On Behalf Of New Jersey Ambulatory Surgery Centers

$160 Million Class Action Settlement Approved in Flawed Health Plan Reimbursements June 29, 2018 – The Federal Court granted final approval to a $160 million class action settlement involving the under-reimbursement by Horizon for out of network ambulatory surgical centers. Horizon used a reimbursement methodology that violated the law and agreed to cease using that method and use a different process. Bruce Nagel, Robert Solomon and Nagel Rice were appointed class counsel. The Federal Court also approved a legal fee of $9 million.
