Dorothy Whitaker died this past week at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, according to the Richmond Register. The crash occurred Monday in Rockcastle County on Ky. 461 near Mount Vernon. Police say Whitaker's younger brother ran a van with his two older siblings off the road. An older brother, 82-year-old Lawrence White, was taken to the UK hospital, but was later released. Investigators said White was chasing his siblings down Interstate 75 at speeds up to 100 mph. Police said Clyde White bumped his siblings vehicle several times, finally forcing it off the road. Police have said they may upgrade attempted murder charges. Tragically, this highlights the dangers that road rage incidents pose to motorists on Kentucky's roadways. Hopefully, the younger brother will be held responsible, criminally and civilly.
