What to Watch Now in the World of D&O

Every year just after Labor Day, I take a step back and survey the most important current trends and developments in the world of Directors’ and Officers’ liability and D&O insurance. This year’s survey is set out below. Once again, there are a host of things worth watching in the world of D&O.     Will the Near-Record Pace of Securities Class Action Lawsuit Filings Continue? The recent heightened pace of securities class action lawsuit filings remains a significant concern. 2017 was a record-setting year for securities class action lawsuit filings, and the torrid pace of securities suit filings continued in the first half of 2018, coming in at a level only very slightly below last year’s record pace.
