#The2Llife Honoring the Legacy of Dr. King GUEST BLOG Courtney Boykin, 2L at the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law                After attending the events, I realized that I’m in law school for a much more meaningful purpose than I initially believed. As you may know, I attend the University of Memphis, Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. Attending law school in Memphis offers many perks, one of which is the city of Memphis, itself. The city is filled with rich history, especially surrounding the Civil Rights movement of the 60s. Last week, the city commemorated the assassination of the greatest civil rights leader of all time, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Affectionately referred to as #MLK50, there were many events featuring notable civil rights leaders, politicians, ministers, and family members of Dr. King.  Guests included everyone from Bernie Sanders and Bernice King to Andrew Young and Common.
