So after a positive review of our first episode (which tackled the all-important issue of whether criminals can deduct their business expenses to pay less taxes), we've come out with another episode of the DL Show. This one came to me a few days ago, when I was thinking about how funny it would be to have a legal textbook called "The Law of Superstition". Superstition is everywhere you look. Mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles, friends, etc. all tell you the same thing growing up: knock on wood, don't walk under a ladder, don't break a mirror indoors, a bird dropping its business on our heads is good luck, etc. So I thought: wouldn't it be neat if there was actually a legal textbook on the topic that helped legal practitioners (lawyers, paralegals, etc.) solve their client's problems? What if it was taught in law school too? What if judges started relying upon it? That would be too funny. So, after spending some time creating some props and with the help of family and friends, I'm pleased to release the next episode of The DL Show: FYI, the characters and storyline are completely fictional and any resemblance to real life is merely coincidental. There isn't actually a text called "The Law of Superstition". The "Necronomicon" is actually taken from the cult classics by Sam Raimy and Bruce Campbell: The Evil Dead series. Great horror flicks. I couldn't find these books anywhere, so I actually spent some time and money making them from cardboard, duck tape, glue and mod podge. The whole thing was very fun to put together and it took about 40 hours from start to finish, I would estimate. I know: it takes a lot of time and patience to put together 3.5 minutes of video. But it's worth it in the end. FYI, that's not me as an actor. I know everyone probably thinks it's me, but it's not.
