Stupid in My 20′s

I live in Michigan and have recently went back to college. I did some stupid things in my 20′s which had resulted in 2 misdemeanor convictions. One was for impaired driving and the other was embezzlement under $25. Like I said some stupid stuff. I recently called to find out if I could get my record expunged and found out because I have two convictions I can not. I was a little shocked. It has been 13 years since I have been in any trouble whatsoever and I still have to be held back by 2 misdemeanor infractions. I had never been in trouble with the law before these incidents or after and I didn't think it would still be an issue. When I turned myself in for the embezzlement charge the arresting officer told me that it was just a misdemeanor and not to worry, it was no big deal. If I could see him now I would tell him what a LIAR he was and probably still is, to mislead me that way. Right now I can't even get a job in a fast food restaurant. No big deal, yeah right. What am I going to do when I finish school. Spend all the time, hard work and money to have to be denied employment because I was young and stupid in my 20′s.
