James Banks worked at Hill Air Force Base for 27 years after he was given a felony for steeling less than $500.00 of wood and nails from the base. But when he went to go buy a gun a few years ago, they wouldn't let him because he still had a felony on his record. Although this man had served our country for over 30 years, he still wasn't granted the right to bear arms. President Obama, however, found this to be a disgrace and pardoned Banks' felony along with 9 others. Although Banks record wasn't wiped clean sooner, he now has the chance to purchase a weapon and live his life the way he should have been all along.
