OSHA Dust Forum May 13

OSHA has announced that it will hold an expert forum May 13 (9:00 a.m. EDT) to discuss potential options for protecting employees from combustible dust hazards. Here's OSHA's press release. It describes the purpose of the forum as "identifying regulatory options that can minimize the costs to small- and medium-sized businesses of reducing or preventing combustible dust hazards, while protecting workers from these hazards." OSHA is in the process of drafting a combustible dust standard, which has caused cost (and other) concerns among the business community. Additional details on the forum and how to register are here. OSHA will publish a summary of the forum here.
