On May 4, in a private ceremony at the Latter Day Saints Temple in Las Vegas, Nevada, career singer and entertainer Marie Osmond married Stephen Craig for the second time. Marie Osmond (51) and Stephen Craig (54) were first married in 1982. The couple met while he was a basketball player at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. In 1983, the couple had a son, Stephen Craig. The marriage ended badly. In 1985, Osmond filed her divorce petition on grounds of mental cruelty and the divorce was finalized the same year. After the couple's break-up, Craig was placed on a form of disciplinary probation with the Mormon Church. Osmond, ever dignified, sought nominal alimony from Craig in the amount of one dollar a year. Doing so may have allowed her to seek modification down the road if the need arose, which apparently it never did. In 1986, Osmond married Brian Blosil. The couple's two biological children are daughter Rachael (1989) and son Matthew (1999). Blosil and Osmond also adopted five children — daughters Jessica (1987) Brianna (1997), and Abigail (2002), and sons Michael (1991-2010) and Brandon (1996). The Blosil marriage ended with a divorce in 2007. When Osmond's 18-year-old son Michael committed suicide in 2010, it was Craig who was there to lend his support in what she said was "the hardest thing I've been through." On her remarriage, Osmond said that Craig "is an amazing man as well as a great father to my children." At her Las Vegas wedding, Osmond was dressed in the same white gown she wore down the isle with Craig in 1982. Marie joked about recycling her wedding dress, "I can't breathe, but I'm in it." Remarrying a spouse is nothing new when it comes to matters of the heart. Craig and Osmond are in good company.
