Law school rankings prompt usual whining

Whenever schools drop significantly in the US News law school rankings, it is obligatory for the dean to send out emails to the students and alumni explaining how US News is evil, the system is rigged, etcetera. With the ink hardly dry on the latest rankings, ATL passes along the Emory (dropped from 22 to 30) and Miami (60 to 77) editions. My favorite example of the genre, however, remains the letter former Northwestern Dweeb Dean David Van Zandt sent out the year Illinois topped Northwestern. It was a thing of beauty — lathering lipstick on the proverbail pig. I wish I could find it on line, but have googled to no avail.
