Fatal Truck Crash in Fletcher

Last week, there was a fatal crash involving a large truck in Fletcher. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened on U.S.-25, near Smiley's Flea Market. Although very little information has been released about this fatal truck crash, initial reports indicate that a sedan and a Spartanburg Recycling truck collided head-on. The driver in the sedan, 42-year-old David Anthony Sapp, was ejected from the vehicle. He died on the scene as a result of his injuries.   Crews Respond to Truck Crash in Fletcher   Crews and first responders rushed to the scene, where a portion of the roadway had to be closed for almost six hours. The truck driver was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries. The crash caused the Spartanburg Recycling truck to spill fuel onto the roadway, so the NCDOT and Mountain Environmental also responded to the scene.
