BMW Sedans and SUVs Recalled for Auto Defects

More than 243,000 BMW sedans and SUVs are being recalled for a couple of different auto defects. According to an article in Consumer Reports, the German auto maker along with the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is issuing two separate recalls. The first one affects 241,000 of the 2002-2005 model year BMW 325i, 325xi, 330i and 330xi sedans manufactured from September 2001 through March 2005. The rear lamps, both the brake lights and turn signals, may fail suddenly increasing the likelihood of a rear-end collision. NHTSA officials say the problem may be with the grounding wire in the electrical circuits to the rear lamp assemblies.
