There are few things that can make your day more stressful than a line of black SUVs from the FBI. Solyndra, the gigantic failure of a solar-panel firm that recently filed bankruptcy, had enjoyed the status of a poster child for solar energy and federal loans to big businesses and green companies. When it abruptly closed its doors, leaving a thousand workers without jobs or paychecks, it became a poster child for wasteful lending by the federal government. Or more. Generally, when a business borrows money and goes broke, a line of black SUVs does not show up to collect documents and search the huge facility. But exactly that happened with Solyndra. So what was the FBI searching for? Well, they're not telling yet. But when they find it, I suspect we'll all know.
